Singer, bill sponsors, presented House Bill 19-1160 to the committee.  The
bill creates a three-year mental health facility pilot program in the Department
of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE).  Two entities may be selected
to participate in the pilot program, and applicants must provide residential
care, treatment, and additional services to individuals with both physical
and mental health diagnoses, and meet other specific criteria outlined
in the bill.

Pelton, bill sponsors, presented House Bill 19-1133 to the committee.  This
bill establishes the Colorado Child Abuse Response and Evaluation Network
(CARENetwork) and the CARENetwork Advisory Committee in CDPHE.  The
CARENetwork is created to support the provision of health services to children
age 5 and under in suspected cases of physical or sexual abuse or neglect,
and children age 12 under in suspected cases of sexual abuse.  Handouts
were distributed to the commmittee (Attachments B and C).  Amendment
L.001 was distributed to the committee (Attachment D).
