Representative Hansen, bill sponsor, presented Senate Bill 18-074 to the committee and distributed a handout (Attachment A).  The bill adds Prader-Willi syndrome to the list of persons who have mandatory eligibility for services and supports and also to the definition of an 'intellectual and developmental disability' for the purpose of receiving services and supports.

Michaelson Jenet, bill sponsors, presented House Bill 18-1192 to the committee
and asked that the committee postpone the bill indefinitely.  The
bill creates a program, administered by the Colorado Department of Human
Services, to help persons with disabilities participating in the state
aid to the needy disabled program navigate the application process for
federal disability benefits, including supplemental security income and
social security disability insurance.
