Representative Mitsch Bush presented and summarized House Bill 16-1067 concerning the Regional Transportation Authorities (RTAs) mill levy. This bill extends the authority of the RTA to impose a property tax of five mills until January 1, 2029, if approved by voters. Under current law, they are permitted to levy this property tax until 2019. She distributed a packet of letters (Attachment C) and a fact sheet for the bill (Attachment D).
