Representative Jodeh explained the effect of the bill and discussed its need. Representative Bird provided backbround on the bill's provenance, and spoke further to the bill's merits. Representatives Valdez and Titone, prime sponsors, presented Senate Concurrent Resolution 24-003, submitting to the registered electors of the state of Colorado an amendment to the Colorado Constitution removing the ban on same-sex marriage. Representative Valdez explained the effect of the measure and discussed its need. Representative Titone provided further input on the need for the resolution.
