Representatives Robert and McKean, prime sponsors, presented House Bill 22-1321, concerning a study of devices that are based on FDA-cleared technology capable of self-assessing impairment of motorists to detect the presence of drugs other than alcohol during roadside sobriety investigations. Representative Roberts explained the effect of the bill and discussed its need. Representative McKean provided further input on the merits of the legislation. Representative McKean responded to questions regarding how devices referenced in the bill will help determine marijuana intoxication.
