The primary bill
sponsors, Representatives McCormick and Soper, re-introduced House Bill
24-1218 for action only to House Health and Human Services Committee. The
bill provides regulations for ambulance service rates and billing. It allows
a subdivision of the state (a county, municipality, school district, or
special district) to submit established rates for ambulance services to
the Division of Insurance in the Department of Regulatory Agencies. The
department must post these rates to their website. The bill also prohibits
out-of-network ambulance services from billing patients for amounts not
covered by the insurance carrier, except for the fees for which the patient
is responsible.

sponsors, Representatives deGruy Kennedy and Ortiz, re-introduced House
Bill 24-1005 for action only to the House Health and Human Services Committee.
The bill requires state-regulated health insurance plans (carriers) to
include primary care providers (providers) as in-network providers if they
are credentialed Medicaid providers and meet select additional criteria.
If the provider is servicing a client that receives benefits from Medicaid,
the carrier is prohibited from requiring additional credentials.

to the House Health and Human Services Committee. Current law defines a
small employer eligible for a small group health benefit plan as an individual,
firm, corporation, partnership, or association that employs between one
and 100 employees. The bill reduces the upper threshold to 50 employees
on January 1, 2026.
