Representatives Kraft-Tharp and Saine introduced House Bill 18-1198.  The bill requires state agencies that are responsible for a statutorily created board or commission to ensure that each board and commission receives an annual training on various issues.  Two handouts were distributed to the committee [Attachment A] [Attachment B].

SB18-124 - Referred to the Committee of the Whole

Representative Pabon introduced Senate Bill 18-124.  Under current law, a manufacturer or importer of alcohol beverages must file a notice of intent to import alcohol with the Liquor Enforcement Division in the Department of Revenue (DOR) at least 30 days before the importation or sale of the alcohol.  The bill removes the 30-day waiting period.

Representatives Van Winkel and Pabon introduced Senate Bill 18-126. The bill defines a traditional large and premium cigar, which is a type of tobacco product, for purposes of the excise tax on tobacco products. The bill sponsors responded to questions from the committee.
