The bill clarifies that the number of credit hours and corresponding contact hours required to be licensed as a barber or cosmetologist are not to exceed 50 credits, as defined by institutional accreditation requirements, or 1,500 contact hours. The Director of the Division of Professions and Occupations in the Department of Regulatory Agencies must promulgate rules to implement these requirements.
