Representative Hooton and Representative Nordberg, sponsors, introduced Senate Bill 17-124. The bill, recommended by the Statutory Revision Committee, clarifies that an authorized fiduciary may not exercise decanting power between two trusts if the first trust grants the settlor or another person the power to cause the first trust to cease to be a grantor trust.

Representative Arndt, sponsor, introduced House Bill 17-1196. The bill clarifies that the number of credit hours and corresponding contact hours required to be licensed as a barber or cosmetologist are not to exceed 50 credits, as defined by institutional accreditation requirements, or 1,500 contact hours. The Director of the Division of Professions and Occupations in the Department of Regulatory Agencies must promulgate rules to implement these requirements.
