Representative Esgar and Representative Willett, co-prime sponsors, presented Senate Bill 16-068, concerning wearing fluorescent pink garments to hunt big game. Currently, a hunter is required to wear fluorescent orange to hunt elk, deer, pronghorn, moose, or black bear. The bill adds the option to wear fluorescent pink.

Gaspar Perricone, Legislative Program Manager, Department of Natural Resources, spoke in support of the bill. Mr. Perricone discussed hunter safety in the state and the increased sale of pink hunting gear in the state and throughout the country.
