Jaimie Lewis, Transit
Advisor for Colorado Cross Disability Coalition (CCDC), and Julie Reiskin,
Co-Executive Director of CCDC, introduced themselves and began their presentation.
CCDC's presentation is included as Attachment H. Ms. Reiskin
presented on major transportation issues for the disability community state-wide,
including the decrease in transit services post-pandemic, safety, reliability,
and access. Ms. Reiskin continued to discuss other emerging issues, such
as autonomous vehicles, housing costs pushing non-drivers to suburbs, and
the lack of consideration of access in some projects. Mr. Lewis presented
on key legislative priorities for CCDC and how increased funding could
improve key priorities. Ms. Reiskin closed by clarifying CCDC's goals for
the upcoming legislative session.
