and McCormick, co-prime sponsors, introduced and explained House Bill 23-1165
concerning the authority of a board of county commissioners to prohibit
discharge of firearms in unincorporated areas of a county.  The bill
repeals the exception for private property and the minimum population density
requirement and instead requires that a designated area have 30 dwellings
or more per square mile.  There are exceptions, including an indoor
shooting gallery in a provate residence, a shooting range, and a peace
officer discharging a firearm in a designated area.
