Uniform Cohabitants’ Economic Remedies Act. There was no public testimony on this agenda item. Commissioners noted that the act had a good debate on the Uniform Law Commission (ULC) floor and the revisions made seemed appropriate, but the act may still may encounter some opposition.
Commission consensus was that the act should remain on the agenda in order for the CBA and other interested parties to review and comment on it. It is possible that the act will need additional vetting before moving to drafting and introduction
