The conference committee was called to order. All members were present. The conference committee concerned House Bill 16-1345, concerning the continuation of the Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB), and, in connection therewith, implementing the recommendations of the 2015 sunset report issued by the Department of Regulatory Agencies. Mr. Jerry Barry, Office of Legislative Legal Services, explained the effect of conference committee amendment CLHB1345.002 (Attachment A). Discussion ensued regarding the merits of this amendment, and the sunset date for the SOMB. Representative Kagan also noted some issues of concern with the SOMB.
