Mr. Scholz discussed the Statewide Planning Program based on the contents of Attachment A. Mr. Scholz responded to questions regarding planning efforts for the State Fairgrounds. Mr. Vanderwall provided an overview of the Statewide Energy Management Program. 07:41:30 AM Mr. Vanderwall continued to discuss the Energy Management Program. Mr. Vanderwall responded to questions regarding estimated cost savings and investment return based on energy performance contracts, and the impact of this contracting on controlled maintenance. Mr. Friedberg provided input on an energy performance contract at Adams State University. Discussion ensued regarding the status of an energy performance contract at Colorado State University-Pueblo. 07:51:55 AM Mr. Vanderwall discuss the high-performance building component of the Energy Management Program. Mr. Friedberg provided input on the purpose of this component. Mr. Vanderwall responded to questions regarding the office's efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and reviews of the effectiveness of high-performance building arrangements. 08:04:07 AM Mr. Ates briefed the committee on the state's real estate portfolio. Mr. Ates responded to questions regarding leasing disparities among state agencies and higher education institutions. Discussion ensued on this point.
