Representatives Weissman and Soper, prime sponsors, presented Senate Bill 24-189, concerning gender-related changes to crimes that involve bias. Representative Weissman explained the effect of the bill and discussed its need. Discussion ensued regarding amendment L.003 (Attachment D), and potential criminal charges under current law as compared to under SB 24-189.
