prime sponsor, introduced House Bill 22-1253 concerning the provision of
adaptive equipment in rental motor vehicles. He provided a handout
(Attachment A). The bill prohibits lessors from restricting how a
person with a disability may request a vehicle with adaptive equipment
and provides a civil remedy for lessees who violate the law.
