Vivienne Belmont, DORA, presented on the sunset review report on the State Board of Nursing.  DORA's sunset review report regarding the State Board of Nursing was distributed to committee members. The report can be accessed online here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dhlLaR3Kofn98A2TsCR8zdaACTVxGt1f/view.  Draft bill LLS no. 20-0512.01 regarding the State Board of Nursing was distributed to the committee (Attachment B).  Ms. Belmont gave an overview of the nursing practice in Colorado.  She described sixteen DORA recommendations regarding the State Board of Nursing.

Joyce Honea, Northern Colorado Nurse Practitioner Coalition, testified regarding auditing of nurse practitioners.  Laura Hildebrand, Northern Colorado Nurse Practitioner Coalition, testified regarding the DORA recommendations that apply to advance practice nursing.  Colleen Casper, Colorado Nurses Association, testified regarding additional changes to the Nurse Practice Act.  Sarah Fredericksson, Colorado Association of Nurse Anthestists, testified regarding the DORA recommendations.
