Sub Panel Recommendations Review - Committee Discussion Only

Brian Rossbert and
Cathy Alderman, Subpanel chair and vice chair, talked about funding recommendations
from the subpanel.  They provided several handouts (Attachments C,
D, and E).

Mr. Rossbert indicated that the document represents the values agreed upon by the subpanel and provides additional opportunities and information for the task force. The document also outlines areas where subpanel recommendations appear to agree with the Strategic Housing Group.

Ms. Alderman walked through the highlights of the handout (Attachment C). She talked about project prioritization, recommendations to ensure flexibility and leveraging, equity, and other considerations.

Ms. Alderman responded to questions from committee members.

There was a discussion
about federal guidelines and requirement to focus on those disproportionately
affected by COVID focus of the AARPA funds.

There was a discussion
about the remaining work of the subpanel, including policy recommendations.
 Mr. Rossbert indicated that the subpanel is working on policy recommendations
that may be presented as larger ideas with bulleted ideas.  He thought
that the committee may meet once or twice more.  Mr. Rossbert said
that the committee should have policy recommendations to the task force
for their next meeting.
