Jill Hunsaker Ryan, Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), gave an overview of CDPHE, an update on what the department has achieved this past year, and what its 2021 goals are using a PowerPoint presentation.

Ryan responded to questions from the committee about COVID-19 vaccine distribution,
environmental equity, rural distribution, and the governor's vaccine distribution
plan,

Mark McMillan, representing the Air Pollution Control Division within CDPHE, continued the presentation with an overview of Senate Bill 20-204, which increased the cap for stationary source fees.

Garry Kaufman, Director
of the Air Pollution Control Division within CDPHE, and Mr. McMillan responded
to questions from the committee about carbon dioxide emissions in Colorado,
natural gas versus coal emissions, ozone creation and ozone mitigation
plans, the focus of the Air Quality Control Commission, and alternative
energy in Colorado.
