Capitol Dome Restoration

Construction began on the Capitol dome in the 1890’s, and the dome was covered in gold in 1908. By 2007, the dome had fallen into disrepair. The Capitol dome restoration project began in 2011 and continued for the next few years. This book and video detail the restoration and provide some behind the scenes views of the project.
