Driver's Permit License Diability Administration

Concerning the administration of the requirements necessary to allow a person to operate a motor vehicle on the highways of the state.

Bill Summary

The bill clarifies that a person with a disability obtains a temporary instruction permit for driving using the normal procedures and requirements, but modified as necessary because of the disability. This includes a clarification that the instruction permit expires after 3 years.

The bill also requires that the department of revenue make a reasonable effort to ensure that confidential driver's records are not visible or accessible to the public and protect the contents against inadvertent disclosure.
