The presentation started with an overview of how SB19-181 changed the COGCC and staffing adjustments. 10:06:55 AM The committee asked a variety of questions regarding worker safety, emissions reporting, addressing air pollution control within the Air Pollution Control Division, orphaned and abandoned wells costs/financial assurance to plug, testing emissions after wells have been plugged, long term costs for plugging wells, coal mine methane seepage, natural seepage versus plugged wells, the duration of the permitting process, resident complaints, collaboration with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, and off-ramps. 10:44:08 AM The committee continued to ask questions on produced water.
