Committee members asked questions about revocations and recividism.  Further discussion followed about special needs parole.



Colorado Auto Theft Prevention Initiative Update - Committee Discussion Only

Captain Mike Honn, Colorado State Patrol,  Legislative Affairs - Chief's Office, and Robert Force, Director of the Colorado Auto Theft Prevention Initiative Update (CAPTA) provided an overview of the Colorado Automobile Theft Prevention Authority.

Committee members asked questions about prevention programs.  Committee discussed ensued about prosecuting more auto theft crimes in high risk areas. Additional questions were asked about expanding the associated task force, public outreach and education, and root causes.  Discussion followed about supporting innovative ways to prevent car theft.
