Senator Priola, bill sponsor, presented House Bill 17-1207 and provided a handout to the committee (Attachment B). This bill states that no juvenile aged 10, 11, or 12 may be ordered to detention in the Division of Youth Corrections (DYC) within the Department of Human Services unless he or she was arrested for a felony or a weapons charge.
