Senator Tate introduced House Bill 20-1023, concerning data for sales and use tax collection. The bill repeals the current hold harmless provision for vendors that use the currently available state-certified electronic address databases 90 days after the implementation of the new state Geographic Information System (GIS) database. The hold harmless provision also applies to vendors that use third-party databases, which are verified as containing the most current information from the state GIS database.
