Jojo La, Acting Director of Environmental Boards and Commissions, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, introduced the Water Quality Control Commission and appointees Charles Weber, Sonja Chavez, and Nicole Poncelet-Johnson. Mr. Weber, Ms. Chavez, and Ms. Poncelet-Johnson introduced themselves and discussed their interest in serving on the commission.

Heather Dugan, Acting Director, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, introduced the Wildlife Habitat Stamp Committee and appointees Lauren McCain, Liz Rose, Brien Webster, and Dave Dillon. Ms. McCain, Mr. Webster, Ms. Rose, and Mr. Dillon introduced themselves to the committee and discussed their interest in serving on the committee.

Senator Marchman and Senator R. Pelton presented House Bill 23-1264 to the committee. The bill modifies the role of the Commissioner of Agriculture in relation to the inspection, testing, and quarantine of livestock during an infectious or contagious disease.

Mrs. Erin Meschke,
representing themself, testified in opposition to the bill.



Dr. Maggie Baldwin,
Animal Health Division Director, representing Colorado Department of Agriculture,
testified in support of the bill.  



Mr. Bill Scebbi,
representing Colorado Egg Producers, testified in support of the bill.
 



The committee
also received written testimony from Hailey Coggins in opposition to the
bill (Attachment A).

to questions from the committee.
