A CDC staff write-up on the project is included as Attachment C and a CU handout is included as Attachment D. Mr. Ewing provided an overview of the project. Mr. Ewing responded to questions regarding the energy savings to be realized from the project. Mr. Lee first introduced a proposal to preserve historic elements associated with a project to remodel office areas in the basement of the Capitol. Committee members received a letter from CBAC supporting the proposal (Attachment E). Mr. Giseburt provided details on the project and historic preservation efforts. Mr. Giseburt responded to questions regarding the scope of the basement project, and its purpose. Committee members received a letter from CBAC supporting the proposal (Attachment F). He also briefed the committee on a project to improve security at the Capitol. Mr. Lee responded to questions regarding the tunnels to be improved under the security project, and other elements of the project.
