Brita Darling, OLLS, presented Bill 5 (Attachment J) and amendment 1 (Attachment DD). The bill adds inpatient and residential substance use disorder treatment as a benefit under the Colorado Medicaid Program, conditional upon federal approval. The Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) must seek necessary federal approval by October 1, 2018.

She announced that the bill will be introduced in the House of Representatives first, and all other committee members will be listed as co-sponsors.
