Landgraf, bill sponsors, presented House Bill 19-1122 to the committee.
 
This bill creates the Colorado
Maternal Mortality Review Committee in the Department of Public Health
and Environment (CDPHE).  The committee must review maternal
deaths that occur in the state, identify the causes of maternal mortality,
and develop recommendations to address preventable maternal deaths.  CDPHE
is required to compile aggregated reports on a routine basis to further
study the causes of maternal mortality; participate in regional and national
maternal mortality review efforts; and request feedback from stakeholders.

Representative Michaelson Jenet and Representative Esgar, bill sponsors, presented House Bill 19-1129 to the committee.  This bill prohibits the use of conversion therapy by physicians specializing in psychiatry and licensed, certified, or registered mental health providers on a patient under the age of 18.  The bill defines conversion therapy as any practice that seeks to change an individual's sexual orientation or gender identity.
