Kevin Patterson, Chief Operating Officer, Connect for Health Colorado (exchange), presented the By the Numbers Open Enrollment Report Plan Year 2018 (Attachment A). He discussed the organizational structure of the exchange, the number of medical and dental plans available on the exchange, the number of insurers offering plans on the exchange, and the customer experience during the 2018 plan year open enrollment.

Mr. Patterson told the committee that 55 percent of exchange customers enrolled through a broker during the 2018 plan year open enrollment. He discussed the average plan premium before the tax credit, and told the committee that the average monthly tax credit was $505 for 2018.
