Representative Young and Representative Daugherty presented House Bill 23-1006 to the committee. The bill requires employers to notify their employees annually of the availability of certain federal and state tax credits.  

Ms. Effie Rorke, representing Feeding Colorado, Ms. Sophie Mariam, representing the Colorado Fiscal Institute, and Ms. Ealasha Vaughner, representing the Clayton Early Learning, testified in support of the bill.

Witnesses answered questions from the committee.

Ms. Caitlin Adams,
representing the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, testified
in support of the bill. Ms. Amber Egbert, representing the Colorado Department
of Revenue, was available to answer committee questions. Mr. Ben Aste,
representing the Northern Colorado Legislative Alliance, testified in opposition
to the bill.
