Jenet, bill sponsor, introduced SB21-117. House Bill 18-1306 created provisions
for cooperation and coordination between schools and county departments
of human services relating to the education of students in foster care.
 This bill:

·        aligns the definition of students in out-of-home
placement with the definition of students who are in the custody of county
departments of human or social services;

·        allows school districts to establish required
transportation plans by regions;

·        allows boards of cooperative educational services
to establish transportation plans on behalf of a district; and

·        codifies the use of state-approved invoices
and forms related to transportation services for foster youth.
