Senator Court, prime sponsor, presented Senate Bill 18-141, which creates the Donate to a Colorado Nonprofit Fund and creates a voluntary contribution designation line (income tax checkoff) benefitting eligible Colorado nonprofit charitable organizations.  Senator Cooke distributed amendments L.001 and L.003 [Attachments A and B, respectively].

Renny Fagan, representing the Colorado Nonprofit Association, testified in support of the bill.  Mr. Fagan distributed a letter and fact sheet about the bill to the committee [Attachments C and D, respectively].

Senator Court responded to committee questions regarding the amendments.  Louis Pino, Legislative Council Staff, responded to committee questions regarding the fiscal impact of the bill and the amendments.
