Book A Tour

Inquire below about booking a tour for your student group or take our virtual tour here.  

Reservations are not needed for public tours.

The Capitol open Monday-Friday, 7:30-5:00, and is closed on the weekends and most federal holidays. 

Daily tours are available Monday-Friday at 10:00am, 11:00am, 1:00pm, and 2:00pm.  Capitol tours are limited to 15 people, first come first serve.

The Capitol will be open for self-guided tours only Monday, September 27 through Friday, October 1.  Mr. Brown's Attic Museum and the dome observation area will be closed during this time.  The Capitol will be closed Monday, October 4. 

Tours will resume on Tuesday, October 5.

MASKS AND PHYSICAL DISTANCING ARE REQUIRED WHILE ON TOUR.

Please note our tour schedule is subject to change or cancellation in consideration of health and safety concerns.

We are not able to provide guided tours the following dates - 

Monday, September 27 through Friday, October 1

Mother Cabrini Day - Monday, October 4, 2021 (CAPITOL CLOSED)

Veterans Day - Thursday, November 11, 2021 (CAPITOL CLOSED)

Thanksgiving Day - Thursday, November 25, 2021 (CAPITOL CLOSED)

THE NORTH ENTRANCE IS CURRENTLY CLOSED.  TO ENTER THE CAPITOL, USE THE SOUTH ENTRANCE, UNDER THE STAIRS, AT 14th AVENUE AND SHERMAN STREET.

All dates are subject to availability. If we are unable to schedule a tour for you, you are welcome to self-guide throughout the building but note that you will not be able to visit the dome on a self-guided tour.

Fall 2021 update - Field trip participants, staff, and volunteers are required to wear masks if they are ages 2 and older when visiting the Capitol. This includes students, teachers, chaperones, and accompanying children. 

Masks and physical distancing are required while on tour.

SCHEDULED TOURS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE OR CANCELLATION IN CONSIDERATION OF HEALTH AND SAFETY CONCERNS.

Please note that student group tours are extremely popular and space is limited

TOUR AVAILABILITY IS NOT GUARANTEED AS TIME SLOTS DO FILL UP QUICKLY.
