Representative Holtorf, prime sponsor, introduced House Bill 20-1224, concerning the issuance of an overweight permit for vehicles transporting agricultural products from where they are produced.  The bill provides permits for divisible loads for 100 days in a calendar year, that need not be consecutive days and that are designated by the agricultural producer, for vehicles that are registered as a farm vehicle.   The vehicle must be transporting products from where they are produced to the point of storage or sale.  In addition, the loads must comply with regulations related to distribution of the load on the axles of the vehicle. The bill proposes the following cost for the permit: $40 for general loads; $50 for quad axle groupings; and $50 for trailers with two or three axle groupings.  Representative Holtorf also distributed Amendment L.001 (Attachment B).
