and Representative Soper, co-prime bill sponsors, presented Senate Bill
24-173, concerning the regulation of persons providing mortuary science
services. The bill requires the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)
to regulate certain mortuary science occupations. Representative Soper
discussed the DORA 2023 Sunrise Review of Funeral Service Professionals
(Attachment G) and amendment L.017 (Attachment H). Representative Soper
and Representative Titone responded to questions from the committee.

Conor Norris, representing the Knee Center for Regulatory Research, testified
in a neutral position on the bill. Dalene Paull, representing the International
Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards, was available to answer
committee questions. The panelists responded to questions from the committee.
