Senator Holbert, sponsor, explained Senate Bill 21-030, concerning criminal theft of rental property.  He discussed failure to return rental equipment and reasons why it should be restored as a separate offense.

Mr Matthew Gershaw, representing American Rental Association (ARA), testified in support of the bill. He discussed rental stores and loss of revenue from unreturned equipment.

 

Mr Jeff Jackson, representing ARA of Colorado, testified in support of the bill and distributed a hand-out about economic impacts of the  equipment rental industry (Attachment A).
