Representative McCluskie introduced Senate Bill 19-032 concerning the routing of hazardous materials being transported on the roadways of the state.  A public highway or partner in a public-private partnership may apply for hazardous road desgination or modification of a designation for a road that the entity maintains.  The bill authorized a study by the Colorado Department of Transportation for the feasibility of routing hazardous materials through the Eisenhower-Edwin C. Johnson Memorial Tunnel.

Troy Hill, representing Hill Petroleum, the Colorado Motor Carriers Association, and the Colorado Wyoming Petroleum Marketers Association, testified in support of the bill.

Carolyn Skoivyra, representing the town of Dillon, testified that the town is neutral about the bill with amendment L.006 (Attachment A).
