Reps. Carver and Jackson introduced House Bill 18-1018. The bill requires the Department of Revenue to promulgate rules requiring commercial driver schools to include training on the recognition, prevention, and reporting of human trafficking.  Reps. Carver and Jackson answered several committee questions. Rep. Jackson distributed amendment L.001 [Attachment A].

Rep. Leonard introduced House Bill 18-1119. The bill diverts 7.5 percent of sales and use tax revenue from the General Fund to the State Highway Fund. Conditional on approval of a ballot measure, the bill authorizes the issuance of Transportation Revenue Anticipation Notes and repeals executions of lease-purchase agreements under Senate Bill 17-267.  Rep. Leonard distributed a fact sheet [Attachment C], a chart [Attachment D], and a graph [Attachment E]. He answered several committee questions.
