Representative Geitner, bill sponsor, presented House Bill 20-1277.  The bill requires the Department of Human Services (DHS), based on recommendations from the Child Protection Ombudsman (CPO) and the Office of Respondents Parents' Council (ORPC),  to develop a standard written document containing notice of rights afforded to all parents involved in an investigation of child abuse or neglect by December 1, 2020.  The CPO and ORPC must submit their recommendations to the DHS by November 1, 2020.
