Representatives Evans and Titone, co-prime sponsors, introduced House Bill 24-1062 Warrants for Metro Sewage Disposal Districts. The bill allows a Metropolitan Sewage Disposal District to obtain a court warrant to inspect a property for violations of a US Environmental Protection Agency approved industrial pretreatment program.

The committee asked questions regarding the use of the word "reasonable".

Ms. Emily Jackson, representing Metro Water Recovery, testified in support of the bill. Ms. Sarah Niyork, representing Metro Water Recovery, testified in support of the bill. The panel of witnesses provided a handout to the committee (Attachment A).

The committee asked the panel questions regarding the current warrant process and problems that have arisen in the past.
