Senator Lee explained and distributed amendments L. 001 and  L. 002 (Attachments C and D).  The first amendment addresses exemptions from civil liability.  The second amendment makes minor changes in language and adds inpatient bed space.  

Senator Lee distributed amendment L. 003 (Attachment E).  Maureen Cain, representing the Office of the State Public Defender, explained the amendment and how it aligns with the consent decree, along with other conforming changes.
