This memorandum provides information about professional licensure requirements in Colorado.

Over 100 professions and occupations are currently required to be licensed, certified, or registered with state agencies in Colorado. The majority are regulated by the Division of Professions and Occupations within the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA). Other state agencies that regulate professions and occupations include the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Education, the Department of Law, the Department of Natural Resources, the Department of Revenue, and the Secretary of State's Office.
