Senator Jones and Senator Lundberg, Co-Prime Sponsors, described the provisions of Senate Bill 17-034 concerning disaster emergency transfers from county General Fund. This bill extends the ability of a board of county commissioners to transfer county General Fund money to its county Road and Bridge Fund from four years to eight years after the Governor declares a disaster emergency in the county. Senator Jones also discussed efforts to recover from the 2013 flood that impacted Colorado's front range communities.
