The bill allows the Department of Human Services to conduct child abuse background checks, upon request, for the screening of persons who work with children, and removes exemptions from fingerprint background checks for certain child care employees.

The bill requires the Colorado Department of Transportation to convene a stakeholder group to examine the economic, environmental, and transportation system impacts of new and emerging transportation technologies, and make any recommendations.  The bill sponsors provided the committee with amendments L.016 and L.018 (Attachments A and B).
