The bill authorizes emergency medical service (EMS) providers to practice in a clinical setting under the medical supervision of a physician, physician assistant, advanced practice nurse, or registered nurse that is immediately available and physically present where the care is being delivered. The State Board of Health in the Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) must promulgate conforming rules. Representative Mullica responded to committee questions.
