Director Henry Sobanet, representing the Governor's Office of State Planning and Budgeting, came to the table to discuss the office's budgetary and prioritization process. He also discussed the state's overall budgetary needs, as well as the Governor's recommendation for seven IT projects. In response to a committee question, Director Sobanet discussed the financial timeline for the Human Resources Information System project.

Ms. Sarah Wager, representing the Department of Human Services (DHS), came to the table to discuss the department's Interoperability project. She distributed a copy of her presentation to the committee [Attachment A]. The department requests state and federal funds spending authority for the fourth-phase of a five-phase project to streamline and improve the exchange of information across multiple state IT systems.

Ms. Heather Dugan, representing the Department of Parks and Wildlife (CPW), came to the table to give an overview of the department's FY 2018-19 IT budget request. CPW is requesting cash funds spending authority to replace its two existing law enforcement records systems with a single records management system, known as RAMS. In response to a committee question, Ms. Dugan discussed how the merger of parks and wildlife has effected CPW's law enforcement practices.

Ms. Marcia Bohannon, representing the Colorado Department of Education (CDE), came to the table to discuss the department's FY 2018-19 IT budget request. CDE is requesting state funds for three major components to update its information management systems: (1) infrastructure maintenance; (2) security infrastructure and data privacy improvements; and (3) improved public and district data reporting and other improvements. She distributed a handout the committee [Attachment B].
