Volunteer Opportunities

We are seeking enthusiastic and friendly volunteers with an interest in Colorado history and state government, who enjoy working with the public, to lead tours, staff the gift desk, museum and dome observation area, and provide visitors with concierge type services. Summer Guide Opportunities

Each summer between May and August, Visitor Services offers several full-time temporary summer guide positions for college students. Applicants must be recent high school graduates enrolled in fall college courses, current college students, or have graduated in May before the summer guide position starts. Work Study Opportunities for MSUD and UCD Students

Eligible work-study applicants with an interest in Colorado history and state government who enjoy working with the public are encouraged to apply for a work-study position at the Capitol. Capitol guides are responsible for leading tours, staffing the gift desk, museum, and dome observation area, providing visitors with concierge type services, and some light clerical work.
