Tom Morris, Office of Legislative Legal Services, came to the table to give an overview of the sunset review process. Copies of the sunset reviews were distributed to committee (Attachment A). Mr. Morris noted that the committee also received copies of the draft bill for each sunset review and explained the process of approving and amending the bills.

Brian Tobias, Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), gave an overview of the department's process in preparing sunset reviews, and specifically addressed reviews of advisory committees.

Mr. Tobias discussed the sunset review of the Court Security Cash Fund Commission. A draft bill continuing the commission indefinitely was distributed to the committee (Attachment B).

Mindy Masias, Colorado Judicial Department, testified in support of continuing the Court Security Cash Fund Commission. She noted that the County Sheriffs' Association is also in support of continuing the program. She responded to questions from the committee.
