Larry Sarner, Colorado Citizens for Science in Medicine, explained the role of the Colorado Citizens with Science in Medicine. He commented on the sunset review. He discussed his participation in the sunset process.

Linda Rosa, Colorado Citizens for Science in Medicine, provided a handout to the committee (Attachment D) and discussed the sunset review and the scope of practice of naturopathic doctors (NDs).

Donna Walter, representing herself, discussed the sunset review. She voiced her concern about the limited access to naturopathic providers. Ms. Walter responded to questions from the committee.

Dr. Lynn Perry, Colorado Medical Society (CMS), testified on the sunset review. Committee discussion followed.

Caitlin O'Connor, Colorado Association of Naturopathic Doctors (COAND), and Dr. Mark Carney, ND, LAC, COAND, came to the table and provided a handout to the committee (Attachment E). Dr. O'Connor testified in support of continuing the regulation of naturopathic doctors and discussed expanding the scope of practice for naturopathic doctors.
